Firm Profile

We are a growing practice in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.   The office is in the inner South West part of Calgary, near Chinook Centre.

Currently, the practice consists of myself (Carolyn Scheil) and a number of accountants/ bookkeepers, and a student. 

I received my Chartered Accountant designation approximately 25 years ago.  I initiated my own public practice about 15 years ago, and it continues to expand, primarily through referrals and word of mouth. Prior to starting my practice, I taught accounting courses, and prior to that, I worked at Ernst Young (where I also articled for my CA).

The vision for my practice is to ensure that all clients are properly served - receiving timely and accurate services in a cost effective, professional manner - moreover, that clients have a sense of confidence that their business and tax needs.

I also have a network of on-call specialists that I use occasionally and with client’s approval. I will use relevant specialists to assist in providing detailed technical advice and/or review files.  Typically, specialists would be used only on more complicated Canadian tax transactions, or foreign tax returns.  Having a small network of reliable experienced specialists available is essential to providing the high quality services required should there be certain specialized technical tax or accounting needs.
